On the day 19 of Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi started his walk on Monday morning. He started his journey from Sharrur in Kerala’s Palakkad district. Hundreds of party workers are accompanying Rahul Gandhi in the walk. The march will halt at Pattambi after the Bharat Jodo Yatra covers 12.3 KM.
Senior Congress leader K Muraleedharan and Leader of Opposition in Kerala Assembly V D Satheesan joined Gandhi in the morning session of the yatra. People in large numbers waited on both the sides of the road to meet Rahul Gandhi. A group of young girls presented a framed drawing of Rahul Gandhi to him.
Subsequently, the Congress party posted the photo of the young girls holding Gandhi’s drawing and tweeted, “Couldn’t have asked for a better start to the Padyatra. The young minds are coming out in large numbers to bless @RahulGandhi Ji and all the Padtyatris. We owe them a brighter future. Towards achieving our goal. #BharatJodoYatra.”
Day 19 of Bharat Jodo Yatra
According to the schedule on the day 19, the Congress leader will garland a Mahatma Gandhi statue on the way to Pattambi, the party said. The yatra will resume at 5 pm and conclude at Koppam,
Earlier, the Congress party’s Bharat Jodo yatra, is planned for 3,570 km and 150-day long foot march from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
However, the yatra, which entered Kerala on the evening of September 10, will go through the state covering 450 km, touching seven districts in 19 days before entering Karnataka on October 1.
Furthermore, Hollywood actor John Cusack, extended his support to Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra on Saturday. He tweeted,”Indian parliament member Rahul Gandhi is walking to Kashmir – from Kerala.”

Later on, when his tweeted was acknowledged, John Cusack responded by saying, “Yes – solidarity – to all anti-fascists everywhere!”
