Hyderabad: Mujra dances have high demand in city parties

Last week Police raid on dance bar in Ranigunj and arrested 29 people in a raid and police rescued nine mujra dancers. 70 per cent of the parties in the city having a mujra dance as a status symbol.

According to the Deccan Chronicle, Munni Begum, a mujra dance organizer said. Mostly bachelors from other states had dramatically raised the demand for obscene and nude dances. Mujra dances are secretly organised in private places. We charge Rs.80,000 for 1 hour with 2 women dancers. If the clients wants dances for an all-night party and more dancers, the cost will rise in lakhs.

These dancers not only perform mujra in the city and suburbs, but also in other countries, especially Dubai and the Gulf.

Mujra organisers claimed that the demand for obscene dances are mostly organized under the guise of mujra parties at residences or farmhouses in Moinabad, Manneguda, Chevella, Kompally, Ghatkesar and Abdullapurmet, Mujra organizers said.
