In a video which is viral on the social media, Elon Musk is seen walking through the halls of the office of the San Francisco HQ of Twitter office. Surprisingly, he is seen walking the halls of the office carrying a sink on Wednesday.
Ahead of that, he changed his bio to “Chief Twit” ahead of the closing of his $44 billion Twitter acquisition deal. Moreover, he shared a video of his visit with the caption, “Entering Twitter HQ – let that sink in!”
Earlier, to his visit, the Chief Marketing Officer of Twitter, Leslie Berland, informed the staff through an email that Musk plans to visit the San Francisco office ahead of the deadline for closing the deal.
Elon Musk announced that he was interested to acquire the micro blogging platform in April. However, he terminated the deal, accusing the social media giant of violating the purchase agreement. He was concerned about the number of spam and fake bots accounts.
Subsequently, Twitter responded by suing Musk and arguing that he had used the bots as a pretext to exit the deal.
Consequently, Elon Musk took a U-turn last week. He confirmed that he will move forward with the deal at the originally agreed price $54.20.
Hence, the judge hearing the legal battle over the deal then put on hold the proceedings till October 28. Subsequently, if the deal does not close tomorrow, the trial will resume.
