The alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United) came to an end in Bihar. The Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced the same in a meeting with party leaders.
Apparently, there was high voltage drama for several days in the state. However, many speculations, were made during this period. Furthermore, after the announcement, the Chief Minister has taken an appointment to meet the Governor at 4.00 PM today.
Many JD(U) MLAs, MLCs told CM Nitish Kumar in the meeting that their present alliance is trying to weaken them since 2020. Without naming Chirag Paswan, they said he was one such example; also said they if they're not alert now, it won't be good for the party: Sources

Earlier, Nitish Kumar had decided on the Mahagathbandhan. However, in its first alliance between Nitish Kumar and the Rashtriya Janata Dal, the party had decided that Tejashwi Yadav will be the Deputy Chief Minister and Tej Prathap Yadav will be in the cabinet.
Party sources say that the same will be followed even in the new Mahagathbandhan 2.0.
