Twitter has announced two major improvements that have been in the works for a few months but are finally receiving a complete release in the app. Twitter chief Elon Musk has stated that encrypted DMs V1.0 will begin on Twitter tomorrow. This will increase the security of the microblogging platform.

Furthermore, the CEO of Twitter said that users may now DM reply to any message in a thread and use any emoji reaction. A new emoji picker within direct messages, allows you to respond to a message with a larger selection of emoji alternatives.

In addition to these upgrades, Twitter CEO Elon Musk has stated that encrypted direct messages (DMs) would be available next week, giving greater security and privacy to the service.

Musk also claims that audio and video calling capabilities would be accessible in Twitter DMs shortly, boosting the option’s connective capability.

Twitter DMs V1.0

With latest version of app, you can DM reply to any message in the thread (not just most recent) and use any emoji reaction.

Release of encrypted DMs V1.0 should happen tomorrow. This will grow in sophistication rapidly. The acid test is that I could not see your DMs even if there was a gun to my head.

Coming soon will be voice and video chat from your handle to anyone on this platform, so you can talk to people anywhere in the world without giving them your phone number, Elon Musk tweeted.
