Shah Rukh Khan stopped at Mumbai airport, Actor carrying luxury watches

Packing for six expensive watches for over 18 lakhs were found in the star's luggage. He has to pay Rupees 6.38 lakh to Custom Duty before leaving the airport.

Last night, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan was stopped by the Customs Department at Mumbai Airport. He was stopped at airport for carrying luxury watches in the baggage.

He was returning to Mumbai International Airport on a private plane after attending an event in Sharjah.

As per the sources, a packing for six expensive watches for over 18 lakhs were found in the star’s luggage. He has to pay Rupees 6.38 lakh to Custom Duty before leaving the airport.

According to NDTV, Mr Khan visited the Sharjah International Book Fair 2022 yesterday. He was honoured with the Global Icon of Film and Cultural Narrative Award for his contributions to international cinema and culture.

Shah Rukh and his manager were allowed to depart the airport once Customs formalities were completed, but several members of his entourage, including his bodyguard, were not allowed to leave until the morning.

Actor Shah Rukh Khan was stopped by custom officials at Mumbai airport as he arrived from Sharjah over a watch worth ₹18 lakhs. The actor had to pay ₹6.83 lakh custom duty according to Air Intelligence Unit sources .
