21-year-old climate activist was “picked up” from Bengaluru in Karnataka on Sunday raising questions in Greta Thunberg “toolkit” case. This student-cum-activist, identified as Disha Ravi. She was picked up from her house in Soladevanahalli area of Bengaluru.
She was arrested in connection with the case regarding ‘toolkit’, shared by Greta Thunberg in connection with the farmers’ protest. Disha Ravi is supposed to be sharing the information in the toolkit.
Disha Ravi is one of the founders of the “Friday for Future” campaign — a global climate strike movement. This campaign started in August 2018 when Greta Thunberg began a school strike for climate.
According to the officers of the special cell, Disha Ravi is supposed to have revealed that she had edited the toolkit associated with the farmers, and then pushed it ahead.
Delhi Police had on February 4 registered a case against the “pro-Khalistan” creators of a “toolkit”, which was shared by teen climate activist Greta Thunberg and others on Twitter in connection with the farmers’ protest, alleging it aimed to wage a “social, cultural and economic war against the Government of India”. Delhi Police had also claimed that the creator of the “toolkit” is a Khalistani group.
Greta Thunberg had extended her support to the farmers’ protest. Greta had shared “toolkit” after the chaos and widespread violence on Republic Day during the farmers’ tractor rally. Greta deleted the tweet later.
But by then, her tweet managed to draw massive international support. According to few sources, many more people will be arrested in the Greta Thunberg “toolkit” case.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Cyber Cell) Anyesh Roy had earlier said that considering the unfolding of events in the past few days, including the violence on January 26, the document in question has revealed “copycat execution” of the action plan mentioned in the ”toolkit” which was also aimed at waging “a social, cultural and economic war against the Government of India.”
Special Commissioner of Police Praveer Ranjan had said the January 26 violence seemed to be linked to the toolkit as the document uploaded on social media “has proper action plan about a digital strike on or before January 26 and tweetstorms on January 23” and indicated a conspiracy.
