On Sunday, Telangana Chief Minister KCR reportedly decided to abolish VRA (Village Revenue Assistant) system entirely.
Furthermore, KCR stated that the staff working as VRAs across the state will be regularised in the supernumerary posts in the Revenue department.
According to Telanaga Today, the VRAs would be assigned to departments such as Mission Administration, Mission Bhagiratha and Irrigation based on their academic qualifications. These people were absorbed as permanent government employees.
On Monday, KCR asked Chief Secretary A Santhil Kumar to issue orders to this effect.
Another significant decision was made by the Chief Minister to implement a PRC recommendation of 30% for contract and outsourced employees working for the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB). Approximately 4,000 Water Board workers will profit from this.
