Lucknow-Rameshwaram train caught fire in a coach, 8 passengers died and more than 20 injured near Madurai railway station in Tamil Nadu.
According to Southern Railways, Passengers in a private party coach illegally smuggled gas cylinders and this caused the fire.” The passengers of the “private party coach” had arrived from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. The fire was caused by of cylinder blast.
The incident occurred early hours of Saturday. After a fire broke out on a tourist train Lucknow-Rameswaram Express parked on the Bodi Line near Madurai railway station.
At least six people were killed and 20 others seriously injured after a fire erupted inside the coach of a passenger train at the #Madurai railway station in Tamil Nadu.

Railways sources told IANS that the incident occurred on the Lucknow-Rameswaram Express.
