A 21-day lockdown was imposed to contain the spread of the virus.The out break of corona has hit the daily wage labourers and migrant workers in India harshly.  With the announcement of lockdown, these people decided to return to their hometowns on foot.
The country is about to hit the 1000-mark, and the lives of many underprivileged families have been completely uprooted. Many are reeling from poverty and hunger due to loss of livelihood and closure of shops.
A massive Rs 1.70 lakh crore PM Garieeb Kalyan Scheme was announced by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday. This scheme is for those who need immediate help in the wake of the outbreak of COVID-19.
It was announced by the FM that around 80 crore poor people will be benefited by this scheme.They would get 5 kg of rice or wheat in addition. This would be given in addition  to the existing 5 kg grain they already get under the government scheme. This was a nice move so that nobody remains hungry.
A health insurance for 3 months of Rs 50 lakh for each individual health worker was announced by the FM. This insurance is for those people who are busy helping people to fight against the coronavirus.
Although, the government is taking necessary action and despite many announcements being made, people were reported from various parts of the country. Images and videos showed  bus stations filled with migrant workers and daily wage labourers. These people were not taking the necessary precautions, which went viral on social media. These scenes have prompted netizens to react and request the central and state governments to provide more help.

Thousands of netizens sent their reactions and requests to the authorities. Thousands of requests increased every minute. Abhinav Sharma, a class 10 student made a request. He didn’t tweet anything or write a long Facebook post.

Abhinav wrote a letter to PM Modi, asking him to make it mandatory for religious trusts to donate 80% of their money to the PM relief fund.

Abhinav wrote in the letter. “This health emergency will surely lead to a financial emergency due to which labourers would be on the verge of starvation. I, therefore, request you to kindly make it mandatory for all religious trusts, irrespective of their religion, to donate 80% amount of ‘God’s wealth’ to the country by giving this to the PM relief fund,”
