Sabaash Mithu is an Indian film based on biographical sports drama. It’s a tribute to the former Indian women cricketer Mithali Raj. The film stars Taapsee Pannu as a lead actress, Srijit Mukherji directed the film and Viacom 18 Studios produced it. The film was released yesterday in theaters.

As per the sources Srijit said, I was over the moon when I heard the script from Priya Avan. Moreover, he was waiting to direct a biopic based on cricket for a long time. Also added that he is waiting for the biopic of Jhulan Goswami biopic (starring Anushka Sharma).
Srijit said, with Taapsee Pannu on board, definitely, the film would be a hit. She is a highly talented actress. Above all, her dedication and passion towards the work is notable. I told Taapsee, “You should enjoy playing cricket, to feel the delight of ball hitting the bat”.
