PM Narendra Modi, on his final day of three-nation Europe tour visited France. He met the President of France, Emmanuel Macron. Emmanuel Macron was elected as president a week ago.
Second India-Nordic Summit
PM Modi after his 2nd day visit to Denmark, attended second India-Nordic summit. The summit focused on post-pandemic economic recovery, climate change and renewable energy. It also discussed global security scenario.
The Prime Ministers of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden participated in the summit.
PM expressed gratitude towards Denmark
Prime Minster Modi shared highlights of his visit to Denmark. He tweeted that the talks were productive with the Danish Prime Minster Mette Frederikson. Later, the Danish Prime Minister expressed her thoughts. She said, “India will influence Russia to end their war in Ukraine”.
“After a productive Denmark visit, PM@narendramodiemplanes for Paris,” is tweeted by the Prime Minister’s Office. Afterward, Ministry of External Affairs tweeted “ BonjourParis! PM arrives in Paris on a visit to France.”

European tour of PM concludes
PM Modi landed in France on Thursday. He thanked the President of France and the French Government for their “warm hospitality”. “My visit to France is a Short but fruitful one,” he wrote. He also mentioned that the two leaders had discussed on various bilateral and global issues.
Furthermore, he said that both the countries are proud developmental partners which are spread across different sectors. It is noted that PM Modi described Emmanuel Macron as a “friend president” in his tweet.

Later the French President reciprocated his gratitude on Twitter as well. He tweeted “Tonight, with @NarendraModi, we discussed the different ongoing international crises as well as our strategic partnership. We also talked about food security issues and the FARM initiative, in which India will play a key role”.
