Nupur Sharma, the suspended BJP spokesperson received a big relief from the Supreme Court as of now. The court said that it would hear the case of clubbing all the nine FIR’s in one place would be heard on August 10.
However, the court also said that no more FIR’s should be filed till then. Furthermore, the Supreme Court also said that she should not be arrested for the prophet Mohammed controversy. The decision from Supreme Court will be a major relief for BJP Ex spokesperson Nupur Sharma.
Consequently, Nupur Sharma requested the court to club the multiple cases on her to one. She said that it would be difficult for her to appear for all the cases in different states. FIR’s are filed in Delhi, Maharashtra, Telangana, West Bengal, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Assam.
Nupur Sharma’s lawyer Maninder Singh, said “There is ever increasing threat to her safety. No amount of security could help her. Whatever happened in Supreme Court last time may have happened. But there is a real and genuine threat now. In Bengal also there is an FIR against her.”
Furthermore, the lawyer said, “More FIR’s have been registered in Bengal and the Kolkata police has issued a look out circular against her due to which she apprehends her immediate arrest and denial of opportunity to approach different High Courts to seek the quashing of FIR’s.”
Earlier, the Supreme Court said that Nupur Sharma should apologize to the whole nation publicly.
