Khwaja Sayyad Chishti, 35 year old Muslim spiritual leader from Afghanistan was shot dead in Maharashtra’s Nashik, reports NDTV.
According to NDTV, Khwaja Sayyad Chishti, popularly known as ‘Sufi Baba’ hailed from Afghanistan. Four men shot him dead on Tuesday in Yeola of Nashik district, Maharashtra. However, the motive behind the murder is still unknown.
The assailants shot the Sufi Baba in the forehead. He died on the spot. After killing him, the assailants seized an SUV used by him and fled the spot.
However, a case is registered at the Yeola police station and efforts are being made to nab the assailants.
