Mumbai Airport gets green signal to operate 100 flights per day from June 16

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai is allowed to operate and increase the number of domestic flights to 100 per day from a total of 100 domestic commercial passenger flight movements which includes 50 departures and 50 arrivals.

One of the busiest airports in India, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has been allowed to double it’s capacity from 50 flights per day to 100 beginning June 16.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MCA) has also allowed Maharashtra to go ahead with the move increase to the number of domestic flights to 100 per day from 50 allowed currently. Now, CSMIA will now handle 50 arrivals and an equal number of departures – up from 25 earlier allowed between May 25 to June 14.

Mumbai Airport International Airport (MIAL) which operates Mumbai’s CSMIA airport said the state government allowed the airport to double its flights from June 16.

“GVK MIAL managing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) starting 16 June is permitted to cater to a total of 100 domestic commercial passenger flight movements which includes 50 departures and 50 arrivals.,” MIAL said in a statement today.
