Karnataka: Five dead, 13 injured in road accident in Yadgir

Karnataka: Five people dead and 13 others seriously injured in a road accident near Balichakra village in the Yadgir district of Karnataka.

According to police source, They were going to Kalaburagi to attend Khaja Bandenavaj Urus, a religious event. All are from Velagodu village in Atmakuru taluk of Nandyal district in Andhra Pradesh. They identified as Muneer (40), Nayamat (40), Muddasir (12), Rameeja Begam (50), and Summi (12). The injured were taken to the near by hospital.

The accident happened early the morning 4 am. The group of 18 people was travelling in a cruiser vehicle and hit a truck that was parked on the roadside.

The police officials reached the accident spot. A case has been registered with Saidapur Police Station.
