Al Jazeera veteran journalist, Shireen Abu Aqleh was allegedly killed by Israeli troops on Wednesday. According to the Palestinian witnesses, she was shot in the face while covering a raid on the refugees.

It is reported by Al Jazeera that, she was deliberately killed while covering a raid on the refugees on the occupied West Bank. Al Jazeera claimed that the Israeli troops shot her dead. However, the Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennet denied these allegations. He said it is likely that Palestinian gunfire must have killed her.

Abu Aqieh, 51 was a Palestinian Christian. She was a prominent reporter in the Arabic news service.

Al Jazeera stated that, the Israeli army confirmed the news about its raid in the occupied West Bank area. But it strongly condemned that the reporter was deliberately shot by them.

Subsequently, it released a statement, “In a blatant murder, violating international laws and norms, the Israeli occupation forces assassinated in cold blood Al Jazeera’s correspondent in Palestine.”

It called on the International community to hold Israel troops accountable for the deliberated killing of its journalist.

As per reports in Al Jazeera, Foreign Minister of Israel and the Prime Minister of Israel, the Palestinians were responsible for the killing of the journalist as they were firing indiscriminately.
