Sutapa is a film dialogue writer herself. She stood like a strong pillar with irrfan when he was diagnosed with the neuroendocrine tumour. Though the cancer turned their lives around, she stood by his side and motivated him by calling him a ‘warrior’ in a post in the social media.

Sutapa addressed Irrfan as a warrior but she made him that, and gave him the strength to fight too. She was there 24/7. Irrfan said in an interview, ‘She has evolved in care-giving and if I get to live, I want to live for her. She is the reason for me to keep at it still.

He returned from abroad after a year of treatment. He finished work on his ‘Angrezi Medium’ . The whole of cinema fraternity – Bollywood and Hollywood – mourns his loss but nothing compares to the loss of Sutapa, Babil and Ayan.
