PM Narendra Modi arrived in Guwahati as Assam celebrates the festival of Grand Bihu celebrations on Friday. Modi also inaugurated AIIMS Guwahati in the presence of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Prime Minister Modi shared a video of his tour to Assam and Grand Bihu celebrations, in the video, PM Modi is seen watching Bihu dance. They were record breaking 11,000 plus dancers and drummers in Assamese dance, which he says is unforgettable and unprecedented.

According to PTI, while addressing the state PM Modi said, “When I came here during the Lok Sabha elections (2019), I had said the day is not far when people will say ‘A for Assam’ and today Assam is actually becoming an A-1 state”.
He also added, The Northeast has received the gift of AIIMS Guwahati and three new medical colleges. Several projects related to rail connectivity in Northeast have also been launched today.
The Assam state on Friday created two Guinness World Records, for the largest Bihu dance and largest dhol drum ensemble. While 11,304 artistes participated in the Bihu dance, 2,548 artistes took part in the dhol (drum) performance. CM Sarma received the certificate from Guinness adjudicator Rishi Nath for the record-making feat.
