On Sunday, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari shared a video of Dwaraka Expressway- India’s first 8-lane elevated road on his official Twitter handle.
According to news resources, the estimated cost to build this expressway is Rs 9000 crores and will be completed by April 2024.
Furthermore, this 34-meter-wide expressway is constructed on single pillars, covering 18.9 km in Haryana and 10.1 km long in Delhi.
Minister Gadkari stated, the project is estimated to reduce traffic on the Gurugram-Jaipur National Highway Minister Gadkari stated.
As per the video claims, the project will strengthen the connectivity of the International Convention Centre in Dwaraka, Sector 25. Furthermore, there are three-lane service roads on both sides of the expressway.
On the contrary, the expressway is built with 2 lakh tons of steel, which is 30 times the amount used in the construction of the Eiffel Tower. In addition, 20 lakh cubic meters of cement concrete were utilized in the project, which is 6 times the amount used in the Burj Khalifa.
