President Droupadi Murmu approved the renaming of the Nehru Memorial Museum (NMML) to the Prime Ministers’ Museum and Library. On Friday, a gadget notification has also been issued by the President of India.
Earlier in June 2023, a meeting was held with the Nehru Memorial Museum Society under Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. In which the proposal to change the name was approved.
The Executive Council approved the project. The NMML in its 162nd meeting held in November 2016. The Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya was opened to the public on April 21 last year.
After this, the change of name was implemented on August 14. Now the President has put a stamp on it. The Nehru Memorial Museum is now officially named the Prime Minister’s Museum and Library (PMML) Society after President Draupadi Murmu gave approval.
