MS Dhoni’s 5-year-old daughter has reportedly received rape threats after the CSK skipper did not give good performance in the IPL 2020. This incident has triggered outrage rightfully.
Following Chennai Super Kings’ loss to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Tuesday night, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s five-year-old daughter received rape threats from social media trolls.
CSK failed to chase a 168-run target. They lost the game to KKR by 10 runs. After that, Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi, got the threats on her Instagram account. Many women have reacted to the threats and created an outrage on social media.
Actor-turned-politician Nagma tweeted, questioning the PM of our country as to where is the country heading to. She said that it is disgusting that Dhoni’s Five-year-old daughter Ziva is getting threats after CSK lost to KKr in the IPL match.
Sowmya Reddy, MLA from Jayanagara, Karnataka, wrote on her timeline, That such threats are just nasty. What is happening in our country and where are we heading to.
Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi tweeted, that this is the proof of how the social media platforms are being misused.
Fans have often indulged in pelting stones at players’ homes, burnt posters and shouted abuses, whenever they are disappointed with their favorite players. But now, they have taken even further which is disgusting. However, targeting the daughter of a player in such a way has been unheard of before.
