Budget 2021: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that Rs. 35,000 crore is being allocated for the coronavirus vaccines. She has also added that Government is committed for further support from the government.

Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that currently our country has two coronavirus vaccines in India — Serum Institute’s Covishield and Bharat Biotech‘s Covaxin — but, “two more will be launched” to prevent the country against the Covid-19 infection.

Nirmala Sitharaman said the government’s Aatmanirbhar packages totaled to Rs 27.1 lakh crore to deal with the coronavirus pandemic, accelerated the pace of structural reforms.

The Union Budget 2021, which Nirmala Sitharaman is the first-ever paperless budget. She has also proposed the introduction of Aatmanirbhar health programmer with an outlay of Rs 64,180 crore. “This will be in addition to the national health mission,” Nirmala Sitharaman said.
