Bihar man refuses to accept wife after she is raped and impregnated by maternal uncle

The numbers of rape cases have increased in India. Girls are not safe even in their house.

An incident was reported from Katihar district of Bihar. The victim’s maternal uncle allegedly raped and impregnated her. Now her husband has refused to accept his wife after this shocking incident.

The victim is only 20 years old and she lives in a village under Falka police station. She has registered a complaint against her maternal uncle for raping and impregnating her and she also named four other family members in the FIR. She is eight months’ pregnant. She claimed that her maternal grandfather is also included in this and now he has thrown her out of the house.

Victim got married to a man in Purnea district. Her parents are no more. Victim’s grandfather got her married. But for over last nine months she was living in her maternal grandfather’s house.

According to police they started investigation and went to the victim’s maternal uncle’s place, but he was not found there. Sunil Kumar Mandal, SHO Falka police station said that girl would be produced before a judicial magistrate on Thursday to record her statement. He also added that they come to know that the accused threatened to kill the victim.

According to the police her husband refused to take her and told her to stay with her maternal uncle whose child she is carrying in her womb. Police also said that the maternal uncle is ready to pay Rs 2 Lakhs in return for not filing any complaint against him. But later he denied and decided to fight the case. Meanwhile her grandfather claimed that they paid Rs 2 lakhs to her husband.
