Few students who belonged to a private college in Bengaluru received a rude shock when they found their pictures on obscene sites.

The personal pictures of few students posted on social media were being misused. The issue came into light as few students complained of finding their pics posted on porn websites.

Few students of a popular private college came across this issue as they found pics of a few of their friends on a porn website. Very soon screenshots of these pics were shared on WhatsApp. It was informed by senior students that pics of a faculty member were also posted on that obscene website.

The HOD and the Principal of the college were intimated about this issue by the student body, who in-turn informed the cops. The Bangalore City police have registered a case.

A couple of suspects have already been taken into custody by the cops and the investigation is in progress.

The pics of one of the students were taken out from the website when she threatened them of legal action by creating a fake account and written to the owners of the website

The issue of pics being taken out of Instagram and Facebook pages of students doesn’t limit itself to the private college but is believed to be happening to students from other colleges as well. Further investigation by cops could reveal more details.
