During the promotion of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Pathaan’, a team of Bajrang Dal activists protest and vandalised a mall in Ahmedabad. The workers were captured on video damaging the mall’s property during protest. Moreover, they destroyed pictures of Shahrukh Khan and his co-stars.
Furthermore, the protesters warned the mall’s management that if the film is released, they will launch an even more vehement protest.
In a video shared by the VHP, the protesters can be seen chanting slogans and tearing posters and large cut-outs of Pathaan’s star cast. This issue gained prominence after the Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra. He raised his objections to one of the songs of the movie Pathaan, released as ‘Besharam Rang’.
Soon after the first glimpse of the song “Besharam Rang” released, Mishra told reporters, that the costumes in the song are morally offensive. It is clear that the song from the film ‘Pathaan’ was shot with a dirty mindset. Mishra issued the statement two days after the release of the song.
If the film Pathaan is released, there will be a strong protest, said Jagdish Khatri, President of Hindu Jagran Manch. Today, we have provided a memo to the administration of Inox Theater concerning the non-release of the film he stated.
‘Pathaan’, movie is directed by Siddharth Anand, is set to hit theatres on January 25.
