The Madras High Court held the apex Election Commission responsible for the upsurge of Corona virus in India. It pulled up the Election Commission for not stopping the big election rallies. It also told that they allowed the political parties the flout the COVID-19 protocol.
The court said that the Election Commission is single-handedly responsible for the upsurge in the corona cases in India. Hence, it should be booked for ‘Murder’.
The High court added that the Election Commission allowed the political parties to flout the COVID-19 norms and protocol. The Election Commission was pulled for not stopping the political parties while they were blatantly breaking the norms through their big rallies and meetings.
The Madras High Court said that the EC should be booked for ‘murder’ and prosecuted for their mismanagement and their failure to do their job.
The High Court asked the Tamil Nadu Chief Election Commissioner to submit a blueprint about their plans and precautions on the results day. Further more, the protocols followed by the officials as well as the people on that day.
The Madras High Court asked to submit the blue print else it will stop the counting of the votes.
