About 20,000 tractors have reached Tikri, Singhu and Ghazipur border, till Sunday night. The farmer leaders claim that one million tractors are expected to arrive by the morning of 26 January for the protest.

After the farmers’ organizations got the consent from the Delhi Police for the January 26 tractor parade, preparations are in full swing at the Singhu and Tikri border. Tractors from Punjab and Haryana continue to arrive at the Delhi border.

After the route was agreed on Sunday evening, the Delhi Police removed the barricades and opened the road from one side at Tikri border for the tractors coming from the Tikri border towards Delhi.

The road has been cleared by removing barricades of cement and large containers of iron, about one kilometer ahead of the movement site. Simultaneously, the Delhi Police and CRPF personnel have also taken over the security system on the prescribed route.

The police have placed a condition that no more than three people will sit on a tractor. Farmers’ organizations and police will spend time on Monday to decide other things.

During the tractor rally on January 26 on the route from Tikri to Delhi, only security forces and farmers will be allowed on that road. According to a police official, arrangements have been made already for the Republic Day parade. It is said that all the shops will be closed on the evening of 25 January. All the precautionary measures are being taken so that vehicles and shops are not damaged if something goes wrong.

As the area where the farmers have gathered around the Tikri border is a residential area, heavy security arrangements have been made here. In addition to the fixed route of the parade, a diversion plan has also been prepared on the surrounding roads.

One thousand Volunteers of Kisan Social Army will also be deployed for the tractor parade coming from Tikri Border to Delhi. The names list of all the volunteers will also be shared with the police.

Ajit Singh, will be leading these volunteers. He said that the Volunteers will be in dress code. These volunteers would consist of people who would be providing first aid, water and tea. There would also be tractor mechanics, who would be given prior training, especially for the parade.
