A class 12 student has been apprehended by the police in Gujarat. It is alleged that this 16-year-old had issued rape threats to MS Dhoni’s daughter Ziva on Instagram after CSK’s loss to KKR last week.
The Gujarat Police arrested a 16-year-old boy on Sunday, for allegedly issuing rape threats to Dhoni’s daughter on his wife Sakshi Dhoni’s Instagram account.
After Dhoni’s team, Chennai Super Kings (CSK)’s lost to against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, MS Dhoni’s 5-year-old daughter Ziva Dhoni was targeted on social media.
The 16-year-old, a class 12 student was nabbed after he made disgusting comments against Ziva, Dhoni’s daughter, from Mundra in Gujarat on Sunday. Massive outrage had sparked on social media a couple of days back. The Gujarat Police apprehended by the local police after a tip-off from the Ranchi police. The police had registered a case in the matter last week.
Kutch (West) Superintendent of Police, Saurabh Singh confirmed that the teenager was apprehended for questioning, and the same had confessed to having made the threatening message on Instagram.
Singh told reporters that the class 12 student from Namna Kapaya village was detained for questioning in connection with a disgusting threat message that was posted on the Instagram account of Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni a few days ago.
The teenager hails from Mundra in Kutch district of Gujarat. The Ranchi police registered a case; they found out about the boy’s account and asked the Gujarat police to confirm the same. After the 16-year-old’s confessions, he will be taken into custody by the Ranchi police.
Singh, SP, Kutch (West) said that the boy was detained for questioning after they received information from the Ranchi police that the accused hails from Mundra in Kutch district. Later, it was confirmed that the boy is the same who had posted the message. The boy would be handed over to Ranchi police as the FIR was lodged in that city.
The Ranchi police are expected to reach Kutch on Monday and take the 16-year-old into custody for further questioning in the matter. Further action in the case will be taken as per the Juvenile Justice Act.
