Satish Kaushik, a veteran actor, director, writer and producer passed away on March 8th at the age of 66. On Thursday morning, the actor had a heart attack, while he was traveling in a car. He was brought to the hospital immediately, where physicians declared him dead on arrival. Apparently, the doctors will perform his post-mortem. Later, his body will be sent to Mumbai in the afternoon. It is learnt that his funeral will take place in Mumbai.
The news of the death of Satish Kaushik is shocking to everyone. Just yesterday, he had posted pictures of Holi celebration with his near and dear ones. This Holi celebrations were organized by noted lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar on March 7 in Mumbai. In the pictures, Satish Kumar can be seen all smiles as he is smeared in colors. He can also be seen posing with Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, lyricist Javed Akhtar and Mahima Chaudhry.

About Satish Kaushik
Satish Kaushik was born in 1956 in Mahendragarh, Haryana. He has always enjoyed watching movies since his childhood. He enrolled at the National School of Drama after graduating from Delhi’s Kirori Mall College. Subsequently, he completed a course at the Film and Television Institute of India before moving to Mumbai, the city of dreams.
He began his career in theatre before landing up in a role in Bollywood. Satish Kaushik is most recognized for his appearances as Calendar in the 1987 superhero film, Mr India, as Pappu Pager in Deewana Mastana (1997), and as Chanu Ahmed in the British film Brick Lane (2007), directed by Sarah Gavron. Satish Kaushik also won the Filmfare Best Comedian Award in 1990 for Ram Lakhan and in 1997 for Saajan Chale Sasural.
Kaushik was also a director. He was very popular for his spontaneity in cracking jokes. His most popular films as a filmmaker are Salman Khan starrer “Tere Naam” and “Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai”, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tusshar Kapoor.
Satish left behind a legacy of classic performances and films that will never be forgotten. Several Bollywood actors tweeted and paid their last respects
