Kothapalli Satish Kumar, who projects himself as a Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) leader was arrested on Tuesday by the Hyderabad Detective Department. According to the police, BJP leader was arrested on charges of cheating a MBBS aspirant of Rs. 48.53 lakh on the pretext of arranging a seat in a medical college for his daughter.

According to Telangana Today, Satish Kumar, a resident of Kamala nagar in Boduppal. He collected Rs. 48.53 lakh from one person. He assured him to arrange an MBBS seat in a medical college in Bachupally. However, he did not arrange an MBBS. Hence, the family asked Mr.Satish Kumar to return their money.
Instead of returning the amount, the BJP leader forged an allotment order and gave it to them. In addition to his cheating, which did not stop there, he gave two cheques, which later bounced.
The victim complained to the police and a case was booked and Satish Kumar was arrested. Satish Kumar, who contested the Assembly elections from Jangaon in 2018 but lost. Earlier, he was with BSP, but later switched to BJP.
