Lockdown has been extended for 2 weeks from May 4. It is extended to May 17.Districts in Telangana have been identified as Red, Orange and Green Zones based on the cases reported respectively.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has declared the districts into various zones. The lock down which was supposed to end on May 4, is extended to May 17. National lockdown has been extended in the wake of rise of coronavirus positive cases in the districts.
MHA has given fresh guidelines to all the states to take up the necessary steps to curb coronavirus.
The Central government has sent all the details regarding the districts to their respective state governments which are divided into different zones. There are 6 Red zones in ,18 Orange zones and 9 Green zones in Telangana.
The following 6 districts are declared as Red Zones in Telangana.

- Warangal urban
- Ranga Reddy
- SuryaPet
- Medchal- Malkajgiri
- Vikarabad
