When the whole world is celebrating Diwali, at least 24 people have died and several others fell ill after consuming spurious liquor, in the last two days.
This incident happened in Gopalgunj and West Champaran districts of Bihar. Reportedly, this place is supposed to be in total prohibition.
It is alleged that eight persons died on Thursday after consuming hooch in Telha village at Bettiah in West Champaran district.
Furthermore, In another incident of consumption of suspected spurious liquor in Gopalgunj increased to 16 on Thursday. However, six more deaths were confirmed by the district authorities.
Surprisingly, the administrations of both the districts have not confirmed the cause of the deaths so far . Moreover, they are blaming each other of conspiracy behind the tragedy.
