85-Year-Old man gets locked in the Union Bank of India, Hyderabad

A 85-year old man, V. Krishna Reddy, spent a horrifying night after he got locked inside a bank. Krishna Reddy was locked inside the locker room of a bank on Monday. This incident happened in the Union Bank of India, Jubilee Hills branch. He was locked for almost 18 hours, reports Telangana Today.

According to Telangana Today… Mr. Krishna Reddy, a resident of Road No.67 in Jubilee Hills went to the bank on Monday around 4.30 PM. He went into the locker room after obtaining permission. However, while he was still in the room, some staff members locked the door and left the place.

Mr. Krishna Reddy wasn’t carrying his mobile with him at that time. As he did not return home, his family members searched for him and approached the Jubilee Hills police.

The police plunged into action and checked the footage from CCTV cameras and found that Krishna Reddy was at the Jubilee Hills check-post but was not see in the CCTV feed from the next camera near a temple. This gave way to a thought that he might have gone to the bank which was in between.

Jubilee Hills Inspector, Rajashekar Reddy said, “On Tuesday morning, we went to the bank and checked. A bank official confirmed that an elderly man had come to the bank a day earlier. Immediately, we checked the locker room and found him. Immediately, Krishna Reddy was shifted to a private hospital for first aid, as he is diabetic”.

Meanwhile, the bank officials told the police that as a few employees were on strike, temporary staff had locked the door without checking if any customers were inside.

Later on, the police found that a woman employee of the bank had locked the door of the locker room on Monday evening without checking.
