The BJP MLA from Goshamahal, was arrested on Tuesday. The police filed a FIR for making controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad. Later BJP suspended Raja Singh from the party with immediate effect. However, he was granted bail within few hours.
Subsequently, the BJP suspended him from the party with immediate effect. However, this is not the first time that he is suspended. Moreover, the party gave him 10 days time to give an explanation as to why he should be included in the party.
Apparently, the remarks made by Raja Singh irked the party leaders, hence took immediate action against him
Few reasons BJP reacted spontaneously:
Earlier, the BJP reacted the same way in the Nupur Sharma case. By doing so, the party wants to convey a message that it does not agree with the remarks made by them. The party immediately addresses these leaders as ‘fringe elements’. To clarify that the party does not given this freedom of expression.
The party wants to convey the message to the masses that they neither support such comments nor would they tolerate such things.
The immediate action is taken so that the party workers understand these comments do not help the party in anywhere. In fact, it is going to defame the party, and the country.
However, many people feel that the action taken now, should have been taken long back. It is a widely known that whoever talks with a big mouth and aim at divisive politics, were given good positions always. Hence, the same is being done by people who yearn for such power and positions.
Few examples are the top-notch leaders in BJP. People like Sambit Patra, Nupur Sharma etc were given good posts for making more noise. Hence, regional leaders like Raja Singh, Bandi Sanjay are try their luck now.
