In the wake of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, UN council will hold an emergency session today in order to discuss several problems in Ukraine.

Protests started in the European countries and in Russia against its invasion on Ukraine. After Russia started gaining control over its major cities, Ukraine is ready for talks to find a way out.

Ukraine agreed to speak to Russia almost at the same time, when Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his defence chiefs to be alert to use their nuclear weapons.

The United National Security Council will hold an emergency session today. Apparently, discuss Russia’s attack on Ukraine. However, India abstained from the procedural vote, but welcomed the talks between Moscow and Kyiv.

It is reported by NDTV, that Russia’s invasion lost its effect after Ukraine resisted it. They are having logistical and supply problems.

According to the claims made by the US officials, Russian troops have failed to gain air superiority. However, Moscow admits to kill and injure soldiers.

On the contrary, Ukraine claims to expel Russian troops from its second city Kharkiv. Ukraine says that it is still holding its capital but only fighting Russian ‘sabotage groups’ that infiltrated the city.

Tens and thousands of people are fleeing to the neighboring countries. The people who reached Poland is nearly 400,000. Many others are seeking shelter in Hungary, Romania, Moldova and Slovakia. Pope Francis has requested to open corridors so that civilians can escape the fighting.
