The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has decided to launch a dynamic pricing for online ticket booking for buses. The dynamic pricing system will start from 27 March. Initially, it will start on the routes from Hyderabad to Bengaluru, Warangal, Karimnagar and Khammam.

In a press conference held at Bus Bhavan, the details were shared the details of dynamic pricing policy by the TSRTC Chairman, MLA Bajireddy Govardhan and MD VC Sajjanar.

According to TSRTC officer, the dynamic pricing is already used in other reservation services as tatkal service in private bus operators, hotels, flight bookings, trains. The ticket pricing would be based on the number of passengers, traffic and demand.

If there is less traffic, the ticket price in this system will be lower and normal price. Accordingly the price will change if the demand is high. Advanced data analysis and machine learning algorithms to determine the charges based on demand will be used.

Passengers can book the seats of their choice in the online booking system. The tickets will be available on online one hour before the service starts.

In the pursuit to provide quality and better services to passengers, the dynamic pricing system is being introduced. The advance reservation facility is being provided in TSRTC buses for up to 60 days. However, it is advisable to book the tickets on the official website of the organization www.tsrtconline.in., Sajjanar said.
