Rishi Kapoor tweeted when none of the young stars attended Vinod Khanna’s funeral: When I die none will shoulder me.
Rishi Kapoor, got very angry when none of the stars from the younger generation attended Khanna’s funeral in 2017.
We all know that the actor was a very frank person. He would always voice his opinions in matters that he felt needed to be spoken about. In fact, his Twitter messages speak a lot about his nature and its actually a storehouse of messages for everyone.
That powerful voice is lost forever as legendary actor Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on April 30. The actor shared his honest posts on Twitter as it was his favorite place to give unbiased peace of mind. This is how he fell into the soup but was always in the news.
When Vinod Khanna, one of his co-stars, had passed away on April 27, 2017, the actor had expressed his anger. His two angry tweets lashed out his anger on Twitter, because none of the stars of the younger generation had attended Khanna’s funeral.
His first tweet:
“One could be read referring to the time when he will be no more, saying “Why this? Including mine and thereafter. When I die, I must be prepared. None will shoulder me. Very angry with today’s so called stars.”
“Why this? Including mine and thereafter. When I die, I must be prepared. None will shoulder me. Very angry with today’s so called stars”.
His second Tweet:
“Shameful. Not ONE actor of this generation attended Vinod Khanna’s funeral. And that too he has worked with them. Must learn to respect.”
Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff and Randeep Hooda were the ones who attended Khanna’s funeral. Rishi Kapoor and Khanna had worked in many films together such as Amar Akbar Anthony, Eena Meena Deeka, Tell Me O Khhuda’. Rishi Kapoor was one of the celebs to break this news on social media.
In an interview, Rishi expressed his anger upon the younger generation stars for not attending the legendary actor’s funeral. He had shared, “I’m not naming any one person. I’m just saying that this generation — actors, filmmakers, producers — none of them came. I’ve seen this happen at Feroz Khan and Rajesh Khanna’s funeral also.
It seems these actors have troubled this generation [so] that they don’t really care. I am compelled to think in this manner.”
Rishi was admitted to the hospital on April 29 after his cancer relapsed. He passed away in the early hours of April 30.
It is such a coincidence, that the words spoken by Rishi Kapoor, has come true that no celebs from the younger generation could shoulder him, except his family, because of the lockdown.
