Prathap Pothen, famous Indian actor and film maker passes away at the age of 69 . He was found dead in his flat in Chennai.
Famous Indian actor and film maker Prathap Pothen passes away at the age of 69. He was found dead in his flat in Chennai. He was born on August 13, 1952. Prathap studied at the the famous Lawrence School , Lovedale in Ooty and then went on to the study in Madras Christian College. He has more than 100 films in his acting career. He acted in Malayalam, Tamil ,Telugu and Hindi films. Prathap directed 12 films.
Prathap married actress Radhika in 1985 but their marriage was short lived. They separated in a year. Later he married Amala Satyanath in 1990. They have a daughter. However, the marriage came to an end in 2012 after 22 years. His last film starring Mohanlal is yet to be released.
He is remembered for his memorable roles in movies.
