Nine died as Temple Collapses in Shimla, Rescue Ops underway

On Monday, at least nine people died after a temple reportedly collapsed due to a massive landslide at Summer Hill, Shimla.

According to the media reports, at least 25-30 individuals were present in the temple at the time of the disaster.

Many people are feared to be trapped under the debris of a temple after a landslide hit Shimla today due to heavy rain. Rescue operations are going on.

Shiv Temple collapsed in Shimla:

Distressing news has emerged from Shimla, where the “Shiv Mandir” at Summer Hill collapsed as the outcome of the heavy rainfall. 

As of now, nine bodies have been retrieved. The local administration is diligently working to clear the debris in order to rescue individuals who may still be trapped, Shukviner Singh Sukhu tweeted.

A temple reportedly collapsed due to a massive landslide in Shimla’s Summer Hill earlier today. Several people are feared trapped under the debris. More details are awaited, Press Trust of India tweeted.
