Nikhat Zareen, the fly-weight boxer from Nizamabad of Telangana state becomes the fifth Indian woman boxer to win a gold medal in International Women’s Championship. She is trending on social media after she won the championship. Added to that she said that it is her dream to see her name trending on twitter while speaking to press.
It wasn’t an easy journey for this achievement. Sadly, she missed her chance to participate in Olympics. However, she succeeded to prove that she is no less than any international champion.
The 25- year- old world champion carried her dominance in weight class at international championship. Nikhat Zareen defeated Thailand’s Jitpong Jutamas in the 52 kg category at the Women’s World Championship in the fly-weight final in Istanbul, Turkey.
Personal life of Nikhat Zareen
Zareen was born on 14 June 1996. She is a native of Nizamabad, Telangana. As per the Wikipedia , Nikhat completed her primary education in Nizamabad and pursued her Bachelors degree at AV College in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Nikhat Zareen’s Career
In the beginning, she was trained in the boxing by her father Mohammed Jameel Ahmed for a year. Later, she persuaded to join into the Sports Authority of India in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Dronacharya awardee IV Rao, trained her. Subsequently, she was declared ‘Golden Best Boxer’ at Erode Nationals in 2010.
She works as the staff officer in Bank of India at Hyderabad.

Honors
She is an official ambassador of her home town. Nikhat was awarded JFW award for Excellence in sports in 2019. Moreover, she signed a brand endorsement with popular brand Adidas in 2018. Currently, Welson Group supports is supporting her internationally. On the other hand, she is also in the Target Olympic Podium Scheme of Sports Authority of India.
