Chess World Cup: Praggnanandhaa beats Caruana, will face Carlsen in Finals

On Monday, Indian Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa beats Fabiana Caruana in the semifinals of the FIDE World Cup chess tournament in Baku. He beat World No.3 Fabiana Cauruna 3.5-2.5 in a tiebreak in the semifinals.

R Pragganandhaa will face World No.1 Magnus Carlsen in the finals for the title. According to news reports, the final is scheduled for Tuesday.

Furthermore, he became only the second Indian player, after great player Viswanathan Anand, to reach the tournament’s final.
