New Dress Code for Employees in New Parliament Building

The new Parliament building is preparing to hold its first session soon. The employees are likely to have a new dress code for the new Parliament. The uniform will have an ‘Indian’ touch as it includes Nehru jackets and khaki-colored pants.

The new uniforms are designed by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). The bureaucrats’ bandh gala suit will be replaced with a magenta or deep pink Nehru jacket. Their shirts will also be in deep pink with a lotus flower design.

The employees will don khaki-colored pants. The dress of the marshals in both houses has also been changed. They will wear cream kurta pajamas instead of safari suits and Manipuri caps. The women employees will get sarees of a new design, replacing the old. Both the houses’ staff will have the same uniform.

According to sources, The special Parliament session will start on September 18, later it will shift to the new Parliament building on September 19. The parliamentary operations will shift to the new Parliament building on the second day of the special session.
