Indian, Chinese troops clash on Dec 9, suffer minor injuries

The troops on the Indian and Chinese border suffered minor injuries in a clash in the Tawang sector of India’s Arunachal Pradesh state on Dec. 9. It was reported by the Indian on Monday. Earlier, such an incident occurred in June 2020. It was the first deadly clash between the two neighbors

India shares a border with China in Arunachal Pradesh.

According to NDTV, “Both sides immediately disengaged from the area.”  However, the commander in the area intervened and disengaged the troops quickly.

Thereafter, the commander in the area held a meeting with his Chinese counterpart to discuss the issue.

The face-off took place at the Tawang Sector of Arunachal Pradesh. The Chinese troops crossed the LAC well prepared, assuming  that the Indian troops would not retaliate. However, the Indian soldiers faced them in a “firm and resolute manner”.
