The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and the Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) has taken the decision of movement of vehicles on the 158 km-Outer Ring Road open and allowed from Tuesday midnight. This decision is taken following the relaxations in the lockdown announced by the State government.
The management staff of the toll gate have been directed to follow the safety norms issued in view of the coronavirus pandemic. Those using the ORR have been advised to prefer cashless transactions at the toll plazas and make digital payments as part of FASTag.
On the other hand, the HMDA added that cars would not be permitted on the ORR during the curfew hours i.e., 7 pm to 7 am. Directions have been given to the staff that they should inform the local police if they find any vehicles carrying passengers instead of goods.
