Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, an ambulance driver died when he lost control of the vehicle and hit the divider at B.N Reddy Nagar X Road. And an oxygen cylinder kept in the ambulance exploded after the fire breakout.
The victim was identified as 35-year-old Mahesh. The incident occurred at 4 a.m. today. Mahesh was heading to Sagar Ring Road from Ibrahimpatnam to attend to a patient.
The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday when the ambulance was returning to the city after dropping a patient at Ibrahimpatnam.
Apparently, overspeeding was the reason behind the accident. According to Newsmeter, the ambulance had hit the divider after losing control. Although the locals who were nearby rushed to the spot and tried to rescue the driver out of the vehicle, he died.
Subsequently, an oxygen cylinder kept in the ambulance exploded after the fire breakout, following which a few people sustained injuries.
