The 95th Academy Awards brought joy for Indians as RRR song “Naatu Naatu” and The Elephant Whisperers won awards. As per reports, director SS Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Jr NTR had to paid amount to attend the Oscars event.

According to the recent media reports, the RRR team including director SS Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Jr NTR had to shell out over Rs.20 lakh each. This was because only the Oscar nominees, with one family member each, were allowed a free pass to attend the event. Whereas, the whole team wanted to attend the event. Hence they had to spend such a huge amount.

The music composer of the RRR, MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandra Bose. Who had been nominated for ‘Naatu Naatu’ for Best Original Song category, were allowed free passes to attend the award event. The singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, who performed on state were allowed free passes. The team of RRR and their family members had to buy tickets to watch the Oscar event.

However, the news was fact checked by TOI. It claims that the news is just a rumor and that the RRR team did not pay anything for Oscars event.
