Hyderabad: Bathini Harinath Goud, the chief organizer of Fish Prasadam, passed away on Wednesday night at his house in Kavadiguda. He was 84.
Bathini Harinath had been ill for some time. His condition worsened on Wednesday night, resulting in his death.
According to news reports, Harinath is survived by his wife, Sumitra Devi, two sons, Anil and Ajay, and two daughters, Alkananda and Archana. Family members stated that his last rituals will be held on Friday in Kavadiguda.
The Bathini family annually distributes fish medicine at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds in Hyderabad on Mrigasira Karthi. This event draws a huge number of asthma patients from all around Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and the rest of the country.
This year’s administration of fish prasadam began on June 9. Thousands of asthma patients from all over the country gathered on the ground to collect the medication.
