Former US president Donald Trump announced his bid for the 2024 US Presidential Election on Wednesday. He is the first major Republican or democratic candidate to openly declare their candidacy. Trump filed paperwork with the US Federal Election Commission (FEC) for a 2024 White House bid.

He told his supporters in the ballroom of his palatial Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida that “America’s comeback starts right now”

Furthermore, he added, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for the US presidential poll.
