Senior officers of the paramilitary force and local police rushed to the spoton hearing gunshots at 61 Lodhi Estate, in a bungalow allotted to the Home Ministry.
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sub-inspector is alleged to have shot and kills his senior officer before killing himself in Delhi’s posh Lodhi Estate area on Friday night.
Senior officers of the paramilitary force and local police rushed to the spot on hearing gunshots at 61 Lodhi Estate, in a bungalow allotted to the Home Ministry, around 10:30 pm on Friday.
When the police reached the spot, they found two CRPF jawans injured very badly. After which both the CRPF officers succumbed to their injuries.
Officials said, that a tussle broke out between the two, which escalated on Friday night and led to Sub-inspector Karnail Singh (55) shooting at his colleague Dashrat Singh (56).
The SI hailed from Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir, while the Inspector was from Rohtak in Haryana.
The reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. An inquiry is being conducted to know the actual reason.
